HAYNES CAMP RECAP

36 scouts and 19 adults went down, down into the canyon and saw a lot of sunshine, and warm weather. The wild plum trees were blooming. Lots of rapelling was done and everyone returned home to brag about it. Saw some great food, like filet mignon “hobo” dinners and spaghetti. Looking forward to going again next year.

NEW EAGLE SCOUTS

Jason Stegall and Alex Laugesen will be the newest Eagles of Troop 80. Congratulations to them and their families.

ADVANCEMENT CAMP

!!DUES ARE DUE!!

Dues are still due. Several scouts AND adult leaders have not paid yet. $30.00. Cheap.

FORMS NEEDED

Each scout MUST have a current BSA physical signed by a physician on the BSA form. Also, each scout MUST have a signed HIPPA form and Discipline Policy Form.

SNOW CAMP BLEWS

Once again Troop 80 woke Sunday morning to the quiet howls of wind gusts of 50 MPH. However, Friday and Saturday were great. There was actually snow this year. BS only yelled a little to entertain us. Food was great and thanks to Duane and Garry for that. Lots of hot chocolate and coffee kept us going. Plenty of wood thanks to Carl and John. After jump starting the bus Sunday we rolled back into town without incident. Cannot wait for next year!

NEW PATROL

Seminole Patrol A2 was came into existence on March 2, 2004. Happy Birthday Seminole!! On the patrol’s first day of life won in competition.

Great Job guys!! (Eat your hearts out B squad!!)

WANT ADS

Needed: A new Keeper of the Forms. Tony Kolodziej is moving to Tulsa, for money of all things. Tony has been the Troop’s Keeper of the Forms and has done a great job. We will all miss Tony and Phillip. If you are interested in being a Keeper of the Forms, contact Eric Wolfram.

Needed: Used Uniforms. That means any part of the uniform from shirts to socks, hats, belts, neckerchiefs, black sweatshirts, and boots. Just bring your old stuff to Troop meeting any Tuesday.

ANNUAL OPEN HOUSE

April 20, 2004. Every year we invite the parents, families, and friends to join the scouts on a Tuesday night of fun and food. Free hotdogs and drinks. Scouts will participate in several events, some involving scout skills and some for fun. Come and support your sons.

UNIFORMS

The local scout office does not stock many uniforms. Yellowstone is a uniform camp and Advancement Camp is a uniform camp. Please arrange to buy correct uniforms in advance.

ICE CREAM NIGHT

Tentative for August 3. Same as last year. Ice cream, cakes, and cookies. Softball and sitting around having a good time. Families invited. More info later.

GEAR NIGHT FOR PARENTS

April 27, starting at 7:30pm. Did you ever wonder what a ThermaRest was? What about a “biner” or Leatherman? Parents are invited to come to the building and have equipment questions answered and actually see different types of equipment that our adult leaders recommend be purchased. There will be catalogues available to take home. Scouts will be away swimming. Come by and see the toys for boys used on campouts.
