E-MAIL ADDRESS: If you are not receiving an e-mail notice each week, please send your e-mail address, or your new e-mail address to:

eric-wlf@wtxcoxmail.com. The Troop is trying to send out more information by e-mail rather than hardcopy. Thanks.

NEW EAGLE COORDINATOR

Glen Sanborn is taking over Louie Lincoln’s job of Eagle Coordinator. Life Scouts and their parents can contact him for information in the Life to Eagle Package, procedures, projects, and the application itself.  Home # 457-1204.

COETAS CREEK CAMP

26 Scouts, 17 adults, and 1 Webelo had a great time at the January camp. No one got lost, weather was unusually warm, though we did manage to squeeze out a few degree points. Kiowa Patrol had the best campsite. The new scout officers did a good job in running the Troop. Mr. Johnson rode the truck out so he would not miss the bus.

NEEDED

–Troop Bugler

– Old scout uniforms, socks, belts, hats, t-shirts, black sweatshirts, neckerchiefs.

YELLOWSTONE UPDATE

We will stay at Grant Village when we get to the park. Reservations are made and paid for. There are 5 camps left to meet attendance requirements.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW??

Matt Lara (Troop 80 1989-1990) has earned a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech. His father Art Lara was an Assistant Scoutmaster in the Troop from 1986-1990.

IN MEMORIAM

K. Bert Watson recently passed away. He was a former Troop 80 Committee Chairman. He had four sons go through the Troop, Randy, Ken, Delk, and David. Ken and David have served on the Troop committee. Randy and David were Eagle Scouts and Randy was Senior Patrol Leader. Two grandsons, David, David Browder and Kyle Watson, were Eagle Scouts in the Troop. His sons donated money to remodel the kitchen into the K. Bert Watson Room where we conduct advancement sessions and board of review. Our condolences to the family.
