Older Boy Program

Older boys of Troop 80  may participate in its older boy program.  The scouts must be at least 15 years old and have attained the Life or Eagle Rank to participate in this program.  Older boys who are not yet Eagle Rank are grouped in a Quartermaster Corp.  Eagle Scouts are placed in the Eagle Patrol.  Adult leaders assigned to assist them.  The older Boy Scouts enjoy rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, and other advanced activities, in addition to the other activities of the Troop.  Check out how many miles our older boys have hiked while in Troop 80 on our  Hiking Miles Page.

On Tuesday nights, the older boys practice climbing techniques in the Troop's mini-rock gym, with climbing shoes provided.  They also work on merit badges to finish their Eagle Rank, and help out when needed.

The current adult leader for the older boy program is Stan Fithen.

Our older scouts participate in all of Troop 80's regular campouts but they also have there own activities.
