Rope Making and Lashing 2005

The scouts in Troop 80 learn many skills related to rope work.  Here they are learning how to make rope and then how to lash together poles to make a trestle.

Thomas Wood, Patrol Leader, shows Scott Cutright how to make rope. Colton Morris, Assistant Senior Patrol leader supervises patrol (sort of).
Matthew Perez and Michael Camouse having a good time. Marcus Tropez holding end of twine so it does not go anywhere.
Choctaw Patrol trestle. Iroquois Patrol trestle.
Matt Dryden and Shoshone Patrol working on trestle. Garry Wood, Head Assistant Scoutmaster explaining fire with flint and steel.

If this looks like fun, come join us on Tuesday nights at the Jack Bryant Scout Center, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
