*************OLD NEWS**********

November 2002 Campout at Lake Altus. Great camp. Great food. Great weather. 37 scouts and 19 adult leaders enjoyed the beautiful fall scenery, including the oaks and sumacs which were turning orange and red. Scouts went rapelling and climbing. Even got JS up on the rock climbing. His comments, however, are not being reported. A few good scouts hit the hot tub, mostly under adult supervision, in a late night relaxation time.

Swim Meet Results. Great parent turn out. Thanks to all who came and supported the scouts. Matt Wingate won freestyle. Patrick Sanborn won back stroke. Austin Fielding won breast stroke. Relay was won by Apache Patrol and Apache Patrol won the overall trophy. Aztec finished second and Comanche third.

Old Uniforms. Did you know that a new uniform now costs $100? The prices are set by National BSA and beyond our control. If you have old uniform parts, please donate them to the Troop. Many scouts could use this help! Bring the items you are donating to the Troop 80 building any Tuesday night. Also, hiking boots and camping gear. Thanks.
