SNOW CAMP SUCCESS. The scouts and adults who went to Tres Ritos had a great time without wind. No campaign bead this year. Inner tubing, downhill skiing, and cross country skiing were the main attractions–and some enchiladas at Sipapu. We even got back early, though coffee drinking time was curtailed. Competition winners:

          Cross Country Skiing: 1st-Azriel Krulik, 2nd- Michael Walker, 3rd- Chris Corley.

          Biathlon: 1st- Trey Wood, 2nd- Azriel Krulik, 3rd- Chris Corley

          Inner Tube Race: 1st- Thomas Wood, 2nd- Colton Morris, 3rd- Matt Lincoln

          Inner Tube Doubles: 1st- Michael Wood/Jarrod Millsap, 2nd- Shelby Amos/Matt Lincoln, 3rd- Josiah Krulik/Garrett Hall

          Inner Tube Jump: 1st- Michael Wood, 2nd- Josiah Krulik, 3rd- Patrick Sanborn.

Thanks to Louie Lincoln and Jim Gwinn for running skiing competitions and John Standish for running inner tube competitions.

***WILDERNESS CAMP***

July 13-22. Cost is not set yet. Base camp. Central Kitchen. SHOWER. Softball. ADVANCEMENT. Wood carving. Must attend 50% of camps and meetings since last year to go. Must be Tenderfoot Rank at least. Must advance one rank or 5 merit badges since last wilderness.

Stephen Southern (Eagle 1990) is getting married to Angela Winters. Stephen lives in Lubbock, Texas. Named to President’s List at Texas Tech University: Brad Eck (Eagle 1996, SPL 1997) and Nick Emerine (Eagle 1998). Congratulations!

 

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Poppe Museum News. There is a new display of the Eagle Scouts of 2001 (all ten of them). Each has a photo, with a list of advancement dates and a summary of the Eagle Project. Check it out.

 

MISSING. Eric Wolfram lost Tim Enevoldsen’s pictures from the January camp. They were in a plastic bag left in the Advancement Office. Please contact Eric if you know where they are.
