TREE LOT SALES DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great job from the scouts and parents. Special Thanks to: Steve Filipowicz, Tree buyer & pricer; John Standish, sound system; John Blakely, fence sections; Duane Glasco, day shifts;  Linda Leopold, calling next day’s shift; Drew Skipworth, money changer; James Savage, Sales data, post card mail outs; Jim Thompson, register.  Thanks for all the help on the tree lot!! 81% of the scouts worked this year. THANK YOU!

 

Congratulations to Jonathon Gwinn!!! Jonathon sold over $3000 worth of popcorn, making him the top sales person in the council. Job well done!

 

GREAT CHRISTMAS BANQUET

Over 150 people attended the annual Christmas Banquet this year and ate BBQ, sang songs, and collected door prizes, lots of them. Hi Newby, head ranger at Palo Duro Canyon State Park spoke. The following awards were recognized:

*Duct Tape Award: Louie Lincoln

*Outstanding Patrol: Aztec (record score)

*Outstanding Crew: Wichita (record score)

*Skill Patrol: Apache (repeat winner)

*Duty, Honor, Courage Trophy:  Comanche Patrol

*Biker of the Year: Kevin Ufford

*Climbers of the Year: Shaun Finley, Michael Wood, Tristen Fithen

*Leadership Award: Azriel Krulik

*Scout of the Year: Michael Walker

 

Silver Bear Award Recognized. Troop 80 has created a special award for long service to the troop. The Silver Bear Award recognizes at least 25 years of significant and active service to Troop 80 as an adult leader. This is the only known award at any level which has as a requirement 25 years of service. The initial winners are Bob Wieck, Walter Wolfram, and Ted Abrahamson. Congratulations to these men and thank you on behalf of the Troop for this service to youth and to Troop 80.
