There’s a Long, Long River a Windin’. April camp to Wichita Falls was DIFFERENT. Stayed at Shepherd AFB. Great facilities and great breakfast. River was a little low and so we canoed and hiked, or both. CC got all tied up at the end of the day. AF played Hop Along Cassidy. A few unlucky scouts got to ride with EW. The Three Stooges were spotted in convoy. Most of the men had to have a lot of Aspirin (and TLC when they got home). Everyone got to watch the sunset whether they wanted to or not. At least we got home early and got plenty of experience in a dehydrated river. CJ left early in his own car so he would not get left behind. Many thanks to BG for the sermon.

Many Thanks to Terry Slade for the work as the Eagle Times editor for several years. He is retiring to take a job at Philmont , N.M. The troop wishes to express its gratitude for all the work he put in to getting the newsletter each month.

Welcome to the new editor. Sheri wood, daughter of “Wrong Way” Johnson, has agreed to become the new editor of the Eagle Times. Her e-mail address is Kidatdesk@aol.com. She will need all your input for stories, information , and the like.
